In the next few weeks, millions of students throughout the country are entering college for the first time. Typically born in 1987, the class of 2009 has always had Starbucks, souped-up car stereos, telephone voicemail systems, and Bill Gates in their lives, says the annual Mindset List released by Beloit College, which offers a world view of today's entering college students. Today's freshmen don't remember when "cut and paste" involved scissors; they learned to count with Lotus 1-2-3; and Andy Warhol, Liberace, Jackie Gleason and Lee Marvin have always been dead. For the entire list, see www.beloit.edu/~pubaff/releases/mindset_2009.htm.
