Once again, San José State University excelled in the U.S. News & World Report magazine's college rankings. The 2007 edition of "America's Best Colleges," now available on newsstands and online, shows SJSU ranked in 10th place among the West's top public universities offering bachelor's and master's degrees.
The university also tied for 12th place among the nation's best undergraduate engineering programs and fifth among the nation's best undergraduate computer engineering programs.
In comparison to last year, San José State maintained its position among the West's top public universities, jumped two places in engineering, and received recognition for its outstanding computer engineering program, which was not rated among the top five in 2006. Since 2000, SJSU's engineering programs overall have climbed from 26th to 12th place.
