SJSU recently signed an official student exchange agreement with Institut d'Etudes Politiques de Lille in Lille, France, a premier institute for political science/international relations, reports Sharyl Cross, chair of the political science department. "SJSU students will benefit from immersion in the outstanding international academic environment provided by the institute," says Cross. "The proximity of this partner institution to Paris and Brussels offers attractive internship opportunities in European international governmental institutions. We very much look forward to the first Institut d'Etudes Politiques-SJSU exchange of students during the 2004-2005 academic year," she says. College of Social Sciences Dean Albert Agresti and Political Science Professor Cobie Harris participated in the agreement-signing event.
