Bio

Dr. Bruehoefener is the Assistant Vice Provost for Faculty Excellence and Teaching Innovation at San José State University (SJSU). In this role, she oversees the Center for Faculty Excellence and Teaching Innovation (CFETI). 

By training a historian, Dr. Bruehoefener's research focuses on Cold West German new military, political, gender (history of masculinities), and ecofeminist history. 

Prior to joining SJSU, Dr. Bruehoefener served as the Director of the School of Interdisciplinary Programs and Community Engagement (SIPCE) at The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley.
