Bio

Jeremiah Still earned a Ph.D. in Human-Computer Interaction (2009) from Iowa State University. Since that time, he has served as an assistant professor and as director of the Human Factors & Usability Testing graduate program at Missouri Western State University. In recognition of his accomplishments and graduate program development, Jeremiah received the outstanding faculty scholarship award (2011) and the Liberal Arts and Sciences Council of Chairpersons award (2012). Dr. Still’s research reveals implicit cognitive processes that can be used to help designers develop intuitive interfaces. Currently, he is producing interfaces and design theory which support the development of better Cyber Security systems. His scholarly work has appeared in top tier journals such as Human-Computer Interaction, Design Studies, and International Journal of Human Computer Studies. And, he publishes in ACM Interactions magazine and the International Conference on Human-Computer Interaction proceedings.

Jeremiah enjoys teaching the Human-Centered Design process. This process empowers students with the ability to develop high-tech products, which are easier, safer and more enjoyable to use. Notably, three out of the last four years his students had one of the top twelve papers selected for the student design competition at CHI, a premier international conference.
