Exploring Graduate School

Have you ever thought about going to graduate school? 

The Exploring Graduate School series assists SJSU undergraduate students understand graduate school in more depth by exploring various graduate school-related topics to see whether graduate school is right for you. Hear from current students, alumni, and fculty as they explain the application process,  finding and funding the right graduate program for you, and many other important topics.

We will be hosting three workshops in the series this spring Semester! See details below:

Navigating Graduate School for First-Generation Students

This session will include a panel of First-Generation graduate students who will share about their experiences navigating graduate school. From how they chose their graduate program to how they managed increasing responsibilities, this session will give you key insights into the graduate school experience.

Personal Statement Workshop

In collaboration with the Writing Center, this workshop will provide participants with tips for writing your personal statement for graduate applications.

Funding Your Graduate School Education:

This workshop will provide information about funding opportunities at SJSU and general guidance when exploring funding options for a graduate school program.
