The mission of the Humanities and the Arts Student Success Center is to create a positive and inclusive environment in which our students feel affirmed and supported. The H&A Student Success Center strives to provide quality academic advising in order to empower students and to address their individual needs, enhancing their experience at SJSU and ensuring a timely graduation.

The Humanities and the Arts Student Success Center (HA SSC) is the central academic advising resource for students in the College of the Humanities and the Arts. Our mission is to create a positive and inclusive environment in which our students feel affirmed and supported.
We strive to empower students and to address their individual needs, thus enhancing their experience at SJSU and ensuring a timely graduation.
Our team of advisors, administrative support, and student assistants are always ready to help our H&A Spartans.

Our Services
The Humanities and the Arts Student Success Center provides various services that are rooted in academic policies, specializing in university academic policies and procedures. An example of the services we provide involve the following:
- New student advising.
- General education and non-major/minor-related advising.
- Assistance with course schedule planning for current and future semesters.
- Interpreting SJSU academic policies and procedures, and assisting students in these procedures.
- Referral to resources to encourage and facilitate academic success.
