Welcome to the Jack Holland Student Success Center

The Jack Holland Student Success Center is the central advising office for all upper division undergraduate business majors. We help with academic planning (includes general education and major course requirements), the graduation application process, understanding college and university policies and procedures, and advice for students on academic notice or those disqualified from San Jose State University.

October 2024 Drop-in Schedule

Drop-in advising is a first come, first serve option for students to connect with an advisor for same day support. Drop-in advising is currently only available for our upper division students (based on units completed). Lower division students (0-59 units completed) should schedule an advising appointment through Spartan Connect or contact their assigned advisor directly for support.

Lower Division Advising

Lower Division Students (those with 0-59 completed units) can visit the new Undergraduate Advising Hub at the Student Services Center, located inside the North Parking Garage.

Upper Division Advising

Upper Division Students (those who have completed 60 or more units) can visit the Jack Holland Success Center in the Boccardo Business Complex 008 for support.

Service #2: Drop-in Advising

Drop-in advising are 15 minute sessions for upper division students only (60+ units completed towards degree). You can review the schedule and sign up here. *The queue may close early if we reach capacity.

Service #3: Advising Appointments

Appointments are 30 minute sessions. Schedule an appointment via Spartan Connect (In-person and Zoom). For help, review our How to Schedule an Appointment Guide [pdf]. *Appointments are released one month at a time.

Change of Major

Learn about the process, requirements, and deadlines to apply for change of major/concentration.

Study Abroad

Learn about the process to study abroad (for students declared in the Business major or minor only).

Graduation Application

Learn how to complete our graduation application. Students must be approved for graduation to enroll in BUS3 189.
