Ernie Martinez serves as the piano technician at the School of Music and Dance, tuning and reconditioning the pianos and harpsichords in the department. He specializes in tone refinement and action regulation, and he has owned his own company for over 30 years.

Ernie is a single parent raising his twelve-year-old daughter and also has an older married daughter and two grandchildren. He enjoys the staff and teachers at SJSU and feels fortunate to be working for and with such a great group of people.
