Bio
Dr. Anne Demers is an Associate Professor of Public Health at San José State University.
Her research interests are in the related areas of disenfranchisement from community,
mental health, and evaluation of the policy and service interventions designed to
help people re-integrate into communities. Her particular focus population is military
service members, veterans, and their loved ones. Her research has been funded by California
Endowment, the Iraq Afghanistan Deployment Impact Fund, and she is currently a Co-Principal

from military to civilian life - and their loved ones - in supporting their veterans.
She designed two courses to assist veterans with transition and reintegration - Warriors
