Bio

Born and raised in Korea. Attended high school in Pusan, Korea. Studied English Literature for two years at Seoul National University. After obtaining BS and MS in industrial engineering and PhD in operations research, worked in various capacities for Consolidated Papers, Tektronix, Metheus, Fujitsu America, Portland General Electric, Hewlett-Pacard, and CNA Industrial Engineering. Engaged in decade-long consulting activities for Korea Ministry of Commerce and Industry in the fields of manufacturing planning, facilities, and process optimization. Owned and operated Optima Consulting, a process optimization consulting business. Taught part time at Univ. of Oklahoma, Portland State Univ., Oregon Inst. of Technology, Cal. State Univ.-Hayward. Currently a 13th year part-time instructor at San Jose Univ. and a 11th year small retail business owner.
