Bio
Dra. Kim Miranda (she/they) is an assistant professor in Chicana/o Studies at SJSU.
They study race, space, transnational feminisms, abolition, cultural healing arts, and placemaking in, but not limited to, Los Angeles.
She is also involved in popular political education efforts through the Los Angeles Center for Community Law & Action (LACCLA) and loves to stay involved in her community.
She is a previous recipient of the Eugene V. Cota Robles fellowship, the Ford Pre-Doctoral Fellowship, Graduate Research Mentorship fellowship, and the Graduate Council Diversity Fellowship at UCLA.
Currently, Dra. Miranda teaches on Gender/Sexuality, Community Studies and Research Methods in the CCS department.
