I teach the History of Economic Thought, the Economic History of Europe, Macroeconomic Analysis, and Economic Development, and both Principles of Macroeconomics and Principles of Microeconomics here at San Jose State University. I also teach Principles of Economics at De Anza College, Cupertino.
I have taught economics for many years in schools, colleges and universities in Britain, Ireland, and California.
I am especially interested in economic history and the history of economic thought. I identify with the Austrian school of economics, which can be traced back to Carl Menger, to which Ludwig Mises, F. A. Hayek, and Israel Kirzner contributed, and with which many economists are associated today.
