Dr. Snycerski earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Central Michigan University, her Master of Arts in Behavior Analysis from Western Michigan University (WMU), and her Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in the Experimental Analysis of Behavior from WMU. Dr. Snycerski was trained as a behavioral pharmacologist. and she also holds a Graduate Certificate in Clinical Trials Administration.After completing her graduate work, Dr. Snycerski was awarded a two-year postdoctoral fellowship that was funded by the National Institute on Drug Abuse to study the behavioral effects of gamma-hydroxybutyrate (GHB) in nonhumans. Her research interests include the study of drugs on behavior, motivation, online learning, and zoo animal wellness. She has been teaching at the University level for 15 years and has taught courses in General Psychology, Research Methods, Human Drug Use and Abuse, Mental Retardation, Behavioral Pharmacology and Toxicology, American Psychological Association Writing Workshop, and Clinical Trials Administration.
In addition to teaching, Dr. Snycerski has also published empirical, theoretical, and review papers, as well as book chapters and encyclopedia entries.
