Instructions:
Step 1. Tell Us What Happened (Personal Statement):
Required to attach a typed statement that explains your situation. Be specific and honest. MUST Include:
- A timeline of what happened (with dates and names).
- How the situation affected your ability to do well in your classes.
- Why you weren’t able to drop the course(s) before the official deadline.
- Why you're only dropping one class, some classes, or all classes (whichever applies).
- How this drop or withdrawal will help you stay on track and succeed going forward.
Step 2. Show Proof (Supporting Documents):
Required to attach documents that support your situation. They must include your name, dates. Submit only the relevant pages. Redact unrelated or sensitive information.

Step 3. Choose the Right Form
Late drop forms are available until 5:00 p.m. on January 16, 2026. Any drop requests after this date are called retroactive drops and require an advisor’s recommendation.
