SJSU team's project "RINGS: Enabling Joint Sensing, Communication, and Multi-tenant Edge AI for Cooperative Perception Systems " is one of the 41 RINGS award recipient teams. Other California recipient teams are from UC Berkeley, UCLA, USC, UCSD, and UCSB. We are looking for self-motivated students for multiple on-campus research assistant positions funded by National Science Foundation in the following areas: 1) autonomous and robotic systems with hands-on experience in ROS2, Carla simulator, camera/Radar and Lidars, and any robotic platforms; 2) deep learning models for perception with hands-on experience in Pytorch model training, 2D/3D object detection or segmentation; 3) Embedded device and IoT systems with hands-on experience in embedded systems, FPGA, wireless communication and network systems. These positions are immediately available now until Summer, and renewable after the Summer. Students need to clearly document their efforts and meet with advisor regularly. After the term, students are needed to prepare the final report for publishable research papers.
