About Us

Charles W. Davidson College of Engineering at San Jose State University, often referred to as "the engine that drives Silicon Valley," is keenly aware of the importance of continuing education among engineering and technical managers. In order to meet this need, our Engineering Extended Studies office has been offering advanced degree programs since 1996.

Our public, non-corporate programs are designed for working professionals and offered at SJSU main campus. Students earn SJSU master’s degree or certificate in under two years.

Our corporate degree and certificate programs are customized based on company requirements. The curriculum is co-developed by a joint steering committee with an emphasis on hands-on learning and real-world applications. Classes for these programs are taught on location at the corporation, including KLA, Lam Research, and Lockheed Martin among others.

All EES degree programs are offered through Special Session. They are academic programs provided to matriculated students on a self-support basis at times and locations not supported by the state general fund appropriations.

SJSU - located at the heart of Silicon Valley—uniquely positioned at the center of one of the most influential and innovative regions of the world!
