Undeclared Student Advising at the Exploratory SSC!

The Exploratory Student Success Center serves undeclared undergraduate students. Our center plays a critical role in providing exploratory/undeclared students with general education academic advising and assisting them with navigating the change of major process. We work closely with other Student Success Centers and the Career Center to connect our students with resources to help them transition into their desired major.

Academic Holds

An advising HOLD may have been placed on your account. To have the hold removed, please meet with your assigned advisor and complete the requested tasks. Your advisor has already reached out via email with a scheduling link to help you book an appointment.

Academic Advising Appointments

To meet with your assigned exploratory Student Academic Success Specialist (SASS), schedule an appointment on Spartan Connect. Appointments are 30 minute sessions. If you cannot make an appointment on Spartan Connect, email your assigned exploratory SASS directly or the Exploratory Student Success Center at exploratory-advising@sjsu.edu for assistance.

Exploratory SSC Updates

We moved locations! The Exploratory Student Sucess Center has reopened in-person as a part of the Undergraduate Advising Hub at the Student Services Center (1st floor). The Student Services Center is located inside the North Parking Garage on the corner of S. 10th and E. San Fernando Street.
