Ramadan Resources
Prayer Spaces
BBC Prayer Space: BBC-01 & BBC-02 will be open for use all day. Please swipe in with your Tower Card. A limited amount of prayer rugs will be available for use.
Mosaic Prayer & Meditation Room: The prayer & meditation room at Mosaic will be open during operational hours: Mon-Thurs: 9-6PM, Fri: 9-5PM. We will not be open after sundown for Mahgrib. Please use the spaces in BBC for prayer after sundown.
Dates & Water
Limited quantities of dates and water bottles for breaking fast will be distributed in the following locations:
- BBC Prayer Space: Open until 9:00 PM
- Mosaic CCC: Open until 6PM on Mon-Thurs and 5PM on Fri — You can take dates & water to-go during the day to save for the evening. Inquire with front desk staff.
On-Campus Dining
Spartan Eats is providing the following resources during Ramadan:
- Suhoor Meals: Convenient microwaveable meals available for purchase at Halal Shack in the SU and Village Market.
- Grab & Goodness Specials: Ramadan-friendly grab & go meals available at Ginger Market, Paseo Fresh, Village Market, and Nirvana Soul
- Dining Commons & SVP: Both locations will maintain normal operating hours and continue offering halal chicken thigh, chicken breast, and ground beef. The Neighboorhood Eats section at the DC and the Sono Station at SVP will feature Ramadan-friendly dinner options and will remain open until 11:00 PM.
- Halal Shack: Open until 8:00 PM Monday-Friday

Iftar Dinners
Mosaic is co-sponsoring, hosting, and/or supporting the following Iftars during Ramadan 2025. Doors open 30 minutes prior to sundown each day. Reference this calendar to see Iftar times in San José.
