Our suite of interdisciplinary Environmental Studies degree programs was first established
in 1970. They were among the first BA and BS degrees in the U.S. to combine natural,
physical, and social sciences under one umbrella following the U.S. Earth Day Teach
In in April 1970. The curriculum provides students with a rigorous, systematic approach
to the study, management, and solution of environmental challenges. Our degrees prepare
students for rewarding careers in fields ranging from government administration to
environmental education and consulting.

Environmental Studies, MS
The Environmental Studies Master of Science program is designed to prepare students
for careers as environmental professionals or to pursue further academic training
in Ph.D. and other advanced degree programs. Our interdisciplinary curriculum embraces
both quantitative and qualitative research and professional skill-building.
