New Undergraduate Advising Hub Opening Soon!

We’re excited to announce the opening of our new Undergraduate Advising Hub at the Student Services Center on Tuesday, October 1, 2024. This hub will serve Lower Division Students (those with 0-59 units), while the Student Success Center will continue to support Upper Division Students (60+ units).

To prepare for these changes:

No services will be available on Monday, September 23, 2024

Virtual-only services will be offered from Tuesday, September 24 through Monday, September 30, 2024

Locations (Effective October 01, 2024):

Lower division <60 units (first and second year) advising is located in the Student Services Center (SSC) located on the first floor of North Garage. Enter on 9th Street side of the building.

Drop-In Advising: CoSNAP

College of Science Navigation and Advising Place (CoSNAP) is a virtual space hosted by the College of Science Student Success Center advisors to support students in navigating or accessing quick information and/or resources for their success at SJSU.

Monday 11:00 am to 12:00 pm and Thursday 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm

Examples of Quick Questions for CoSNAP:

  • Who is my advisor?

You can schedule an appointment with an advisor through Spartan Connect. Review our Advising Services for College of Science students for more information.

Spartan Connect Cancellation Policy

If you cancel your appointment one hour or less before your scheduled appointment with an advisor, you will be marked as a “no-show”.

If you have three or more no-shows within the last 120 days. You cannot schedule appointments in Spartan Connect on your own.

It is your responsibility, as the student, to manage your schedule and cancel appointments at least an hour in advance to avoid no-shows.
