About Dr. Justin Strong
Justin Strong is an Assistant Professor of Justice Studies whose work broadly engages critical theory, punishment, and legal violence. He received his Ph.D. in Criminology, Law and Society at the University of California, Irvine. Justin’s current research project focuses on the prison healthcare crisis in the state of Arizona, which he uses to interrogate processes of social abandonment and the law’s failure to redress suffering. Justin also researches issues pertaining to solitary confinement, prisoner mortality/morbidity, and disability justice.
