History

A former mayor of Xingmeng, Khuɛi44 Lai31thua31 奎来团 has a keen interest in the history of the Khatso people and often gives talks on the subject. Typically, the talks are delivered in Chinese, but here he agreed to give the talk in Khatso for the first time. Given the topic and the academic flavor of the narrative, the Khatso spoken in this excerpt contains a great many Chinese loanwords. This narration was recorded on April 13, 2013 in Xingmeng.
