Teaching Credential Programs
San Jose State offers a Single Subject Credential in mathematics (Grades 6 - 12). The Department of Mathematics and Statistics also offers an undergraduate integrated math major and single subject credential. (If you are an undergraduate in the BA Mathematics Integrated Teacher Education Program, please see your major advisor for questions related to your undergraduate degree and the single subject credential program in mathematics.)
The first step in applying to the program is to determine subject matter competency in mathematics. Please complete this Google Form.
You will be contacted by an advisor once we have reviewed your information on the Google document. For more information about applying to the Single Subject Credential Program, please contact the Single Subject Credential Program. You will need to attend a general information session held by the College of Education.
